Stockholm, 6-7 July 2015
The Emerging Scholars’ Colloquium (ESC) precedes the main conference. Emerging scholars in any field of accounting who are currently doing a PhD are welcome to submit an application form. In line with the orientation of the IPA, the ESC promotes the interdisciplinary study of accounting. Accordingly, emerging scholars interested in, and working on, the social, political, and organizational aspects of accounting theory and practice are particularly welcome.
The aim of the ESC is to provide emerging scholars with the opportunity to discuss their work with each other as well as with established accounting scholars. The main feature of the ESC is the presentation and discussion of students’ PhD work. In addition, faculty members provide input on selected topics of wider interest. The ESC is organized by Andrea Mennicken, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Martin Messner, University of Innsbruck, and brings together a further 10 faculty members who will provide constructive feedback. The faculty members are as follows:
The Colloquium takes place on the island of Långholmen, close to the city center of Stockholm. The participants are accommodated in the famous 250 years old Crown prison, nowadays turned into a unique and inviting hotel.
On a five minutes walking distance from the Prison, the activities of the Colloquium will take place at Carlshälls Gård.
